TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: 5 September 2026
Welcome to Riverlinston.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Riverlinston.store and apply to purchases made through our website.
Throughout these Terms, the words “Riverlinston”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Riverlinston. The words “you” and “your” refer to the person accessing the website or purchasing products from us.
By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
Please read them carefully before purchasing from us.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or affects any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under UK consumer law.
Website: Riverlinston.store
Email: help@Riverlinston.store
Our full trader identity, geographic business address and any applicable company registration and VAT information are available through our Contact Information and/or Legal Notice pages.
1. ABOUT RIVERLINSTON
Riverlinston is an online retailer offering men's fashion, clothing, accessories and related products.
Our website allows customers to browse products and place orders electronically.
These Terms apply primarily to purchases made by individuals acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
If you are purchasing products primarily for business purposes, different legal rules may apply.
2. ELIGIBILITY TO USE OUR WEBSITE
By placing an order through Riverlinston.store, you confirm that:
-
you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract;
-
the information you provide is accurate and complete;
-
you are authorised to use the payment method submitted with your order; and
-
you are purchasing products for lawful purposes.
If you are under the age at which you may legally enter into a binding contract without parental or guardian consent, you should not place an order without appropriate consent.
3. USING OUR WEBSITE
You may use Riverlinston.store only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
-
use the website fraudulently or unlawfully;
-
attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, servers or systems;
-
knowingly introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material;
-
interfere with the normal operation or security of the website;
-
use automated systems to excessively scrape or extract content from the website;
-
impersonate another person;
-
submit false payment or customer information;
-
use our website for fraudulent purchases or chargeback abuse;
-
infringe our intellectual property rights or those of another person; or
-
use the website in any way that violates applicable law.
We may take reasonable steps to protect our website, customers and business where fraudulent, abusive or unlawful activity is reasonably suspected.
4. PRODUCT INFORMATION
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications, sizes and other information displayed on Riverlinston.store are accurate.
Products supplied to consumers must comply with applicable UK consumer law, including requirements that goods be:
-
of satisfactory quality;
-
fit for their intended purpose; and
-
as described.
Images are provided to help illustrate our products.
Although we make reasonable efforts to display colours accurately, the appearance of a colour may vary slightly depending on your device, monitor settings, lighting and display technology.
Such unavoidable display differences do not permit us to supply a product that materially differs from its description.
Measurements may occasionally vary slightly where reasonable manufacturing tolerances apply.
5. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
All products are subject to availability.
Placing an item in your shopping basket does not reserve it.
Occasionally, an item may become unavailable after you place an order.
If we cannot supply a product you ordered, we will contact you and, where payment has already been collected, refund the relevant amount.
We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.
6. PRICES
Prices displayed on Riverlinston.store will be presented clearly.
Where required by applicable law, prices displayed to UK consumers will include applicable taxes.
Delivery charges and any other applicable compulsory charges will either:
-
be included in the displayed price; or
-
be clearly disclosed before you place your order.
The total amount payable will be displayed before you confirm your purchase.
We may change prices at any time, but a price change will not ordinarily affect an order for which a binding contract has already been formed.
7. PRICING ERRORS
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that prices are correct.
If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may contact you before accepting or fulfilling the order.
If the error could reasonably have been recognised as a genuine mistake, we may give you the opportunity to purchase the item at the correct price or cancel the affected order.
Nothing in this section permits Riverlinston to change an agreed price arbitrarily after a binding contract has been formed.
8. PROMOTIONS, DISCOUNTS AND OFFERS
Promotional offers, discount codes, gifts and other promotions may be subject to additional conditions.
Where additional conditions apply, they will be made reasonably clear to customers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
-
promotions cannot be exchanged for cash;
-
discount codes apply only to eligible products;
-
only one promotional code may be used per order;
-
promotions may be subject to availability; and
-
promotions may end in accordance with their advertised terms.
We will not advertise false availability, false time limits or misleading discounts.
Promotional marketing does not remove or reduce your statutory consumer rights.
9. PLACING AN ORDER
Our online checkout provides the steps necessary to place an order.
Before completing your purchase, you will have an opportunity to review information including, where applicable:
-
the products selected;
-
quantities;
-
sizes and colours;
-
delivery details;
-
billing information;
-
delivery charges;
-
discounts;
-
taxes; and
-
the total amount payable.
You are responsible for checking this information before submitting your order.
The final checkout action will make clear where placing the order creates an obligation to pay.
10. CORRECTING ORDER ERRORS
Before placing your order, you should review the information shown during checkout.
Where technically available, you may correct errors by:
-
changing product quantities;
-
removing products;
-
selecting another variation;
-
correcting delivery information; or
-
returning to an earlier checkout stage.
If you discover an error after placing an order, contact:
We cannot guarantee that an order can be changed once processing or dispatch has begun.
Your statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
11. ORDER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
After placing an order, you should receive an electronic acknowledgement confirming that we have received your order.
An acknowledgement of receipt does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.
Unless we expressly state otherwise during checkout, a binding sales contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch of your order.
If we cannot accept your order, we will notify you and refund any amount collected for products we cannot supply.
12. REASONS WE MAY REFUSE AN ORDER
We may refuse or cancel an order before a binding contract is formed for legitimate reasons, including where:
-
the product is unavailable;
-
payment cannot be authorised;
-
information supplied appears materially incorrect;
-
we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised payment activity;
-
an obvious pricing or product information error has occurred;
-
shipping restrictions prevent delivery;
-
legal restrictions prevent the sale; or
-
unusually large quantities reasonably indicate commercial resale rather than an ordinary consumer purchase.
We will not refuse orders for unlawful discriminatory reasons.
13. PAYMENT
Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.
By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.
Payment may be processed by third-party payment service providers.
Depending on the payment method used, your payment provider may conduct security, fraud prevention or authentication checks.
You remain responsible for any charges imposed independently by your bank or payment provider where those charges are lawful and were not imposed by Riverlinston.
Riverlinston will not add optional paid extras to an order without the customer's consent.
14. PAYMENT SECURITY
We take reasonable measures to protect transactions processed through our website.
Some payment information may be processed directly by specialised third-party payment processors rather than stored by Riverlinston.
You must not intentionally provide fraudulent payment information.
We may delay processing while reasonable fraud prevention or payment verification checks are carried out.
15. DELIVERY
Available delivery options will be displayed on Riverlinston.store or during checkout.
Before the order is placed, we will provide information concerning applicable delivery charges and arrangements.
Orders will be delivered to the delivery address provided by the customer.
You are responsible for ensuring that your delivery information is accurate and sufficiently complete.
Please see our separate Shipping Policy for further information about delivery methods and procedures.
16. DELIVERY TIME
Where a specific delivery period has been agreed, we will take reasonable steps to deliver within that period.
Where no delivery period has been separately agreed, goods must normally be delivered within the period required by applicable UK consumer law.
Events genuinely outside our reasonable control may occasionally affect delivery.
If a legally significant delay occurs, you may have rights including the right to set an additional reasonable deadline or, in qualifying circumstances, cancel the contract.
Nothing in these Terms removes those rights.
17. DELIVERY RISK
Risk of loss or damage to goods will normally pass to you when the goods come into the physical possession of:
-
you; or
-
a person identified by you to receive them.
Where you independently appoint a carrier that was not offered by Riverlinston, different rules may apply.
This provision does not affect any statutory rights relating to damaged, lost or incorrectly delivered goods.
18. OWNERSHIP OF PRODUCTS
Where permitted by law, ownership of goods passes to you once we have received payment in full and the goods have been supplied in accordance with the contract.
Risk and legal ownership are separate concepts and may pass at different times under applicable law.
19. RIGHT TO CANCEL
For most goods purchased online, UK consumers have a statutory right to change their mind and cancel the contract.
The cancellation period generally expires 14 days after the day on which you, or someone nominated by you, receives the goods.
You normally do not need to provide a reason for cancellation.
Where an order contains multiple items delivered separately, the cancellation period may run from receipt of the final relevant item.
Certain statutory exceptions may apply.
For full details, please read our Return & Refund Policy.
20. RETURNS
After exercising a statutory right to cancel, goods must normally be returned within the period required by applicable law.
Instructions concerning return procedures are available in our Return & Refund Policy.
Customers may inspect goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning in a similar way to what would reasonably be permitted in a physical shop.
If goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary for that purpose, we may be legally entitled to make an appropriate deduction for any resulting reduction in value.
21. REFUNDS
Eligible refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable UK consumer law and our Return & Refund Policy.
Where a statutory cancellation right applies, the refund may include the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option.
Additional amounts paid for premium or express delivery do not necessarily have to be refunded beyond the cost of standard delivery.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
22. FAULTY OR MISDESCRIBED GOODS
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights where goods are:
-
faulty;
-
damaged;
-
unsafe;
-
not of satisfactory quality;
-
not fit for purpose; or
-
not as described.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, consumers may have rights to remedies including:
-
rejection and refund;
-
repair;
-
replacement;
-
price reduction; or
-
a final right to reject.
Please contact:
Our commercial return procedures operate in addition to, and do not replace, your statutory rights.
23. SALE ITEMS
Products purchased during sales or promotions retain applicable statutory consumer protections.
A reduced price does not remove your rights where goods are faulty or otherwise fail to comply with the contract.
Where a product is reduced specifically because of a defect that was clearly disclosed before purchase, that disclosed defect may be treated differently under applicable consumer law.
24. GIFT CARDS AND STORE CREDIT
Where Riverlinston offers gift cards, vouchers or store credit, additional terms may apply and will be provided at the time they are offered.
Store credit will not be substituted for a monetary refund where the law entitles you to repayment using the original payment method unless you voluntarily agree otherwise.
25. ACCOUNTS
Where our website permits customer accounts, you are responsible for:
-
maintaining the confidentiality of your login details;
-
providing accurate account information; and
-
informing us if you reasonably believe your account has been compromised.
You must not deliberately use another person's account without permission.
We may temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the account, customer or website from suspected fraud or security threats.
26. PERSONAL INFORMATION
When you use Riverlinston.store or place an order, we may process personal information necessary to:
-
process orders;
-
take payment;
-
deliver products;
-
provide customer service;
-
prevent fraud;
-
comply with legal obligations; and
-
operate and improve our services.
Our handling of personal information is explained separately in our Privacy Policy.
Where required, privacy information will be provided when personal information is collected.
These Terms do not replace our Privacy Policy.
27. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
Where required by applicable law, we will obtain appropriate consent before sending electronic direct marketing communications.
Where applicable, marketing emails will include a method for unsubscribing.
Transactional communications relating to an existing order, payment, delivery, security or customer service are not necessarily marketing communications.
28. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, content made available through Riverlinston.store, including:
-
branding;
-
logos;
-
graphics;
-
website design;
-
photographs;
-
product imagery;
-
written content;
-
icons; and
-
original visual materials,
is owned by or licensed to Riverlinston and may be protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.
You may access the website for personal and lawful use.
You may not reproduce, commercially exploit, distribute, alter or republish protected material without permission where such permission is legally required.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Riverlinston intellectual property to you.
29. THIRD-PARTY INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Third-party trade marks, brand names or other intellectual property appearing on the website remain the property of their respective owners.
The appearance of third-party material does not automatically imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation unless expressly stated.
We expect products and content supplied through Riverlinston to respect applicable intellectual property rights.
30. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our website may use third-party services including:
-
payment processors;
-
delivery carriers;
-
analytics providers;
-
website infrastructure providers; and
-
customer service systems.
Where you interact directly with an independent third party, that party may also operate under its own terms or privacy information.
We remain responsible for obligations that applicable consumer law places directly on Riverlinston and will not use a third-party arrangement to avoid those obligations.
31. EXTERNAL LINKS
Our website may occasionally contain links to third-party websites.
Such links may be provided for convenience or information.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Riverlinston does not control independent third-party websites and is not responsible for their content or practices.
You should review the relevant terms and privacy information before using third-party websites.
32. CUSTOMER REVIEWS
Where Riverlinston displays customer reviews, we will not knowingly publish or commission fake reviews or falsely represent reviews as genuine consumer experiences.
Customers submitting reviews must not deliberately submit content that is:
-
knowingly false or misleading;
-
unlawful;
-
defamatory;
-
threatening;
-
discriminatory;
-
infringing;
-
fraudulent; or
-
unrelated to the relevant product or customer experience.
We may moderate reviews for legitimate purposes.
Moderation will not be used to create a misleading impression about genuine customer feedback.
33. PROHIBITED COMMERCIAL CONDUCT
Riverlinston aims to conduct its marketing and sales practices fairly.
We will not knowingly use commercial practices prohibited by applicable consumer protection law, including materially misleading claims, deceptive omissions or unlawful pressure selling.
Important information relevant to a customer's purchasing decision will be presented clearly where required.
34. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY
We aim to keep Riverlinston.store available and functioning correctly.
However, continuous uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.
We may temporarily suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary for:
-
maintenance;
-
security;
-
technical updates;
-
emergency repairs; or
-
circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where possible, we will seek to minimise unnecessary disruption.
35. WEBSITE INFORMATION
We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate website information.
Occasional technical, typographical or administrative errors may occur.
Where an error affects an existing consumer contract, we will deal with the matter fairly and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
A general website disclaimer does not override product descriptions or other information forming part of your contract.
36. OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONSUMERS
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill where applicable.
Loss is foreseeable where it was obvious that it would happen or where, when the contract was formed, both parties knew that it might reasonably happen.
Riverlinston supplies products through its consumer store primarily for private and personal use.
Where you purchase as a consumer, we are not generally responsible for purely commercial losses arising from use of products for a business purpose, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
37. LIABILITY THAT WE DO NOT EXCLUDE
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability for:
-
death or personal injury caused by negligence;
-
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
-
breach of statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded; or
-
any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
38. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We will not be treated as having deliberately failed to perform an obligation where performance is genuinely prevented or materially delayed by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include serious disruption caused by natural disasters, transport failures, widespread network outages, industrial action, governmental restrictions or similar exceptional events.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of such events.
This clause does not remove consumer rights that arise because of delayed or failed delivery.
39. FRAUD AND ABUSE
We reserve the right to take proportionate measures where we reasonably believe that activity involving our store is fraudulent or abusive.
Examples may include:
-
unauthorised payment use;
-
deliberately false claims;
-
manipulation of promotional offers;
-
repeated fraudulent chargebacks;
-
attempted account takeover; or
-
intentional misuse of our systems.
Measures may include withholding an order before acceptance, requesting reasonable verification or restricting an account where necessary.
Nothing in this section permits us to withhold a legitimate statutory refund or other consumer remedy.
40. CANCELLATION BY RIVERLINSTON
We may cancel an order where we are legally unable to supply it or where another legitimate reason described in these Terms applies.
If we cancel an order after taking payment and you are entitled to repayment, we will refund the relevant amount.
We will not retain payment for goods that we have cancelled and are not supplying unless we have a lawful basis to do so.
41. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect:
-
changes to our business;
-
changes to our website;
-
new services or features;
-
operational changes; or
-
changes in applicable law.
The latest version will display its update date.
Unless required by law or expressly agreed with you, changes will not normally alter the terms governing a consumer purchase that was already concluded before the new Terms became effective.
42. SEVERABILITY
If a court or competent authority determines that part of these Terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Where possible, the affected provision will be interpreted consistently with applicable law rather than being used to remove mandatory consumer rights.
43. NO WAIVER
If Riverlinston does not immediately enforce a right or remedy available under these Terms, that does not necessarily mean the right or remedy has been waived.
Likewise, allowing additional time to perform an obligation does not automatically prevent us from enforcing that obligation later.
This provision does not affect statutory limitation periods or consumer rights.
44. TRANSFER OF RIGHTS
You may have legal rights to transfer certain rights under a contract.
Riverlinston will not transfer its obligations under a consumer contract in a way that reduces the guarantees available to you without complying with applicable law.
45. THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS
Unless these Terms expressly state otherwise, the contract is between you and Riverlinston.
A person who is not a party to the contract will not ordinarily have a right to enforce these Terms except where applicable law provides otherwise.
46. COMPLAINTS
If you have a concern about your order or our service, please contact:
Please include your order number, where relevant, and sufficient details for us to investigate the matter.
We will aim to handle complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.
Making a complaint does not remove any statutory remedies available to you.
47. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and contracts entered into through Riverlinston.store are governed by applicable UK law.
If you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory legal protections applicable to you in your place of residence.
48. COURTS AND DISPUTES
Nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent a consumer from bringing proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
Where applicable, consumers resident in England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland retain the rights concerning jurisdiction that mandatory consumer law provides.
We encourage customers to contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve a dispute directly.
49. STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or replaces statutory rights available to consumers.
Relevant legislation may include, where applicable:
-
Consumer Rights Act 2015;
-
Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013;
-
Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024;
-
Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002;
-
applicable UK data protection legislation; and
-
other applicable consumer and e-commerce legislation in force from time to time.
Where these Terms conflict with a mandatory legal right, the mandatory legal right will prevail.

-

-

-
Cookie Policy; and
-
any specific promotional or product terms,
